Who Can Apply
This missions trip is open exclusively to Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada. Applicants must hold valid Canadian citizenship or PR status to apply, and will be asked to bring this paperwork to their application interview.

About The Dream Center
Founded in 1994 by Pastor Tommy Barnett and his son Matthew, the Dream Center is a nonprofit in central Los Angeles that reconnects isolated people with God and community. It addresses homelessness, hunger, poverty, addiction, education, and human trafficking, reaching 40,000 people every month through dozens of programs and outreaches.
What You'll Do
Adopt-A-Block
The heartbeat of the Dream Center. Build relationships in homeless and under-resourced communities through consistent, practical service.
Food Bank
Bag and hand out groceries to roughly 600 community members. The food ministries distribute over half a million pounds every month.
Food Truck
A mobile food bank serving more than 20 distribution sites and over 40,000 people in a typical month.
Carey Kitchen
Early starts serving breakfast and preparing lunch in the Dream Center diner.
Dream Kids
Sports, games and activities supporting youth in the neighbourhoods Adopt-A-Block serves.
Construction
Join work teams expanding and maintaining the Dream Center's large facility.
Discipleship
Work alongside the Discipleship Program on neighbourhood clean-up and community work projects.

All team members must attend mandatory in-person missions training sessions between November 2026 and February 2027, plus a team debrief on February 22 and a Sunday presentation on February 28. Full dates are in the info packet.
Support the Team
If you would like to give toward this missions trip, send an e-transfer to giving@bethel.ca with "Missions Trip Giving" in the memo line. All funds given go toward offsetting the overall cost of the trip, reducing the cost for each participant.
