Membership
at Bethel
While everyone who attends Bethel is fully a part of our church family, because Bethel is a registered corporation under the Ontario Not for Profit Act, we are legally required by the Province of Ontario and by our constitution to have formal corporate membership. Even if you’ve been coming for a long time, it’s a great step to become a member so you can vote and nominate board members and be part of our annual meeting that gives an overview of what is happening at Bethel.
Our membership class for new members is held every Spring.
At Bethel, church membership is all about taking the next step and becoming a committed member of the church family. It’s not the same thing as making a commitment to Christ or regular church attendance or involvement in the ministry of the church. It’s a subsequent decision we make, considering our relationship with Christ, to fully commit to the vision and values of Bethel.
