Responsible to:  Joan Hoskins, Business Administrator

Resume deadline: June 20th 2022

Role Overview:
The Custodian is responsible for the maintenance of the physical property of Bethel Pentecostal Church of Ottawa. This is a full-time position.

General Responsibilities:

This includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Clean all areas and surfaces inside the building
  • Complete small repairs to building and reports larger needed repairs to Business Administrator
  • Order and replenish custodial supplies as needed
  • Ensure tools and vacuums are in working order
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of garage
  • Complete daily health and safety walkabouts
  • Complete WHMIS training
  • Be trained and certified to operate church lift
  • Be trained to use floor scrubber
  • Maintain outdoor property (lawn cutting and gardening) during the spring/summer/fall months
  • Keep lawn tractor in good working condition
  • Maintain outdoor property (clearing snow and ice from walkways) during winter months
  • Prepare communion containers for communion Sundays
  • Set up and tear down meeting rooms/events under direction of Business Administrator
  • Complete night lockup on an as needed basis and/or when regular night lock up is away
  • Have computer knowledge (to be trained on security software)
  • Make fobs and program doors on an as needed basis
