Water Baptism is a public commitment of your relationship with Jesus. We believe that the Bible teaches that being baptized symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of our Saviour. By doing this, you commit to a new life, being born again, and doing away with the old. It is one of the most beautiful demonstrations in your walk with God, you are forgiven of your sins and God wants to begin a new work inside you.
At Bethel we continue to affirm and practice the biblical instructions found in the Great Commission of Jesus. In the book of Matthew, we read:
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Mathew 28:18-20)
