Through your generous and committed support here’s a sample of Bethel’s ministry impact.
Debra Dynes – Bethel plays a significant part in the Debra Dynes community offering food, children’s programs, community support for dozens of families and special events that serve hundreds of people.
Jericho Road – Bethel supports Jericho Road Ministries which serves in the area of addiction treatment, and provides mental illness care homes across Ottawa for 30 men.
Capital City Mission – Bethel is involved with CCM to help meet the practical and spiritual needs of people living in the downtown core. Volunteers provide food and serve at the drop in centre on a weekly basis.
First Place Health Options – First Place Options has cared for thousands of women who have faced an unexpected pregnancy. They are equipped to care for women regardless of marital status, age, race, or religion. Bethel has invested time and finances in order to help continue the work. The Bethel family has supported “Operation Baby Bottle” which raises funds between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day each year.
The Big Give – Every year Bethel is involved in blessing our local community. In 2016 over 100 volunteers gave a Block Party and Clean-Up Day in the Debra Dynes community.
Power to Change – Mike Doucette, one of Bethel’s young men, works with Athletes in Action in Ottawa universities and colleges. AIA is a community for Christian athletes who have a desire to reach their athletic teams and campus with the love and joy of Jesus Christ. They meet weekly on campus to study God’s Word and discover practical ways that faith can have an impact on sport, studies and life.
Turkana, Kenya – Through Debra Sirjoosingh Bethel has helped care for and reach thousands of tribal people in the north of Kenya.
Education without Boundaries – Bob and Beth Carson founded this organization whose mandate is to foster educational opportunities and provide educational facilities in disadvantaged regions of the world.
Wycliffe Bible Translation – Stan and Sandra Anonby are involved in translating the Bible into local languages.
RAN – Bethel supports a family reaching out in a Restricted Access Nation
Operation Christmas Child – Every November, Bethel has participated in Operation Christmas Child. Gift-filled shoeboxes are packed and sent overseas each year, sharing God’s love with children through the world. Last year, the church family filled and sent 351 boxes to children.
Through our various ministries to children, youth, young adults and adults we impact schools, colleges and universities. We support families and provide encouragement and help to hundreds of people every single week.
