Haiti is a nation that faces challenges of extreme poverty, political corruption and deeply ingrained spiritual darkness. Many Haitians are involved in voodooism and spiritism. The incidence of diseases ranging from intestinal parasite to AIDS is extremely high. The PAOC's work involves outreach, theological education by extension and Bible correspondence ministries.

Bethel’s Mission

• To support and assist missionaries Michel & Louise Charbonneau

• To support the Feeding and Education Program for over 1,700 children in Port au Prince who are taught the gospel and also provided with a meal of rice and vegetables twice a week

• To send teams to work on the repair and construction of Mission facilities

Involvement to Date

Bethel has sent teams to Haiti annually since the year 2000 to provide assistance in the Children’s ministry and to work on construction and repairs within the Mission Compound and on the church property. Financial contributions have aided in the purchase of a generator, inverter batteries, ministry literature, sound system and kitchen repairs. Donations of clothes, shoes, linens, medical supplies and other gifts for the children and missionaries have been supplied.
