Overview

Jericho Road provides a Bible based recovery program for men who are struggling with substance abuse and mental disorders. Throughout the Ottawa area, dedicated staff and volunteers manage one treatment home, two homes supporting those with mental disorders, two re-entry homes and a weekly Coffee House in the downtown area. After 6 months in a recovery program, the men graduate to a

re-entry home that facilitates their reintegration back into society.

Facts:

• Jericho Road Christian Ministries has the capacity to serve and house 40 men

• The residents of Jericho Road come from a variety of backgrounds that include: incarceration, street people and men from broken families

• The ages of the men living in the various residences range from 18 to 60 years of age

• Jericho Road operates in a deficit position that jeopardizes the future of a number of homes and therefore desperately needs financial assistance

Bethel’s Mission

To support Jericho Road financially, to encourage volunteers to invest time in the ministry and to provide the residences with food, furniture and resources.

Involvement to Date

Caring people at Bethel support Jericho Road by leading Bible studies, by providing meals & clothing and by participating in the mentoring program. Bethel's Ministry to Men sponsors men from Jericho Road so that they are able to attend the Annual Retreat held at Ottawa Valley Pentecostal Camp.

Plans for the Future

• Jericho Road continues to seek God’s direction in expanding the ministry to include a treatment home for women struggling with addictions and mental disorders

• The expansion of the ministry and the recovery program by providing a facility in a rural setting/area
